I was hoping to find some help on here, but I guess I'll
just give an uneducated warning. After downloading and
installing anti spyware, my computer was ridiculously
slow, all of my pictures were deleted, my music wouldn't
play because of a missing driver, and my system restore
wouldn't work ... obviously I had to delete everything,
lose all my precious files, and begin again. Any one
else have this problem??? Email me!

I'm not missing any pictures, but I did have issues with
my sound driver (a reboot fixed them), and my computer
was running ridiculously slow-so slow that I had to shut
down by turning off the power. The program freezes my
system-no drive activity. I'm looking for answers, but
at this point, I think it's either compatibility with
another program, or VX2 spyware is battling it out with
Microsoft's beta produce, and VX2 is winning. I can't
get rid of it.

in the future any technician worth his weight in sand
could have saved you pictures and music and such.
Harddisks can be removed and putinto another computer to
get the data off.
Just in case, you know it happens again.

Also for $160 you can get external usb harddisks that
work well as backups.
push a single button on the device and it backs up your
whole system to the external hd.

I didnt lose pics nor music, but it did change a whole
lot of things like it reverted me back to the Win2k
logon, wouldnt let me restore my XP Style toolbars,
couldnt see a single image on the web EXCEPT at
Microsoft's sites (even tho all my 'allowed' sites were
still listed) or in email, slowed my system to a crawl
and bootup took about 4 + minutes when normally it takes
less than 30 seconds! The first scan took 1 and a 1/2
hours. I finally used a restore point to get rid of it,
uninstalling didnt work right. Im not a happy camper )=-
