I recently upgraded my windows xp home edition to windows
xp professional. The Dial UP connection refused to work at
first, but I accessed Knowledge Base Article 330163 to fix
that error that inhibited configuration of Dial Up.
However, this did not fix the problems with the LAN
Properties configuration and the Wireless LAN setup screen.
When I right click on the wireless connection icon in the
taskbar and select "view available wireless networks", I
open up to the familiar wireless network, however
everything but the cancel button in that window is grey.
For the LAN connection problem, when I choose properties,
and then the advanced tab, the settings button on the
bottom left is grey. Is anyone familiar with the issues
that arise from upgrading from XP Home to XP Pro and the
fixes for those issues. There may be more issues that I am
not aware of, would appreciate anybody knowing where to
find a list of thsoe issues, as well as a fix to the
problem I am having.
