Issues with Windows Explorer

I have several issues with Vista and will start with these.

1) When dumping a directory/file to the recycle bin, the recycling 1
item box will come up and not go away. I end up having to go to the
task manager and close it that way. I can hit stop or the "X" to close
the box and it just changes to the "canceling" box and doesn't close it.
This also happens when you move files from one directory to another.
The files move but the box doesn't go away.

2) When renaming a directory, file, or new folder Windows Explorer
locks up. You again have to use Task Manager to close the activity.
The files does get changed and will show when you reopen WE.

You're the same bozo who screwed up your computer with Combofix,
right?

Did Registry Mechanic fix THAT for you?

No, Registry Mechanic will *NOT* fix anything. But it may well make
any problems worse.

*NO* registry cleaner does anything useful.

I have tried Registry mechanic and had to remove it due to more
problems than it was worth. Any other ideas out there?
