Issues with Access 97 RTF exports under Windows XP

We have an Access 97 database which creates & exports RTF
documents. Under Windows XP these documents lose their
formatting & >50% of the data on export, however they
work fine when the same procedure is csarried out in
98SE, ME & 2000. Because of hardware constraints, we
aren't going to be in a position to upgrade to Office XP,
until later this year... In the meantime I'd be very
grateful for any thoughts / ideas on how to resolve this.
