MS AntiSpyware seems to be the same application as Sunbelt
Software's CounterSpy. Application has many similarities
in appearance, in quirks and in effectiveness (very
good!). Problem is when you install on a PC that had
CounterSpy you MUST uninstall CounterSpy first then delete
c:\Program Files\Sunbelt Software and all of its
subfolders and files.

Quirks: PC must be logged-in (security issue) for
Scheduled Scan to run. If the update utility encounters a
problem, it will hang the PC at the splash screen.

MS did solve another annoyance with CounterSpy: you had to
reinstall CounterSpy under every user's profile. Way to
go, MS!

Microsoft purchased Giant Software. Giant licensed it's stuff to
Sunbelt, who packaged it as CounterSpy.
