I recently went to the Windows Update website and went to
install SP4. It seemed to be working fine till it froze on
me. When I go to reboot, it hangs at the WIndows 2000
screen, with the bar on the bottom three quarters of the
way full. I can boot to safe mode with network support. I
installed SP4 successfully, but it still hangs during
normal boot. I tried to see if I can uninstall it, but I
cannot.

Any suggestions?

Hi,
I downloaded Win2000 sp4 yesterday and after installing it
the system asked me to reboot, which I did. But then it
could not start Win2000 because for some reason it could
not find ntoskrnl.exe in the system folder. Now since I
had NTFS partition, I cannot access my C drive even when I
startup the computer using win98 boot disk in dos prompt.
I tried to use the win2000 boot disk too(4 floopies), but
the same error (cannot find ntoskrnl.exe) is shown.

I cannot start the Win2000 in any other configuration mode
too(safe mode ...etc), all give the same error.

Any suggestion, Is there any utility that can boot my
computer in dos prompt and show me my hard drive so that I
can copy the exe from the back up drive into the system
folder.
