Hi,
We have a 4 PC Network set up here. The Net comes through
our netserver which is running Win XP Pro and it shares
the net to the other 3 PC's which are running Win 2000pro.
2 of the 3 PC's running 2000pro have "issues" browsing
certain websites. The problem is getting worse (more and
more web sites we used to beable to veiw we now can't). My
first thought was that is was ZoneAlarm Pro which is
running on the server, so i turned that off, but the
problem still exists. I tired changing all my IE 6
settings to the same as the PC's that can browse all pages
but no luck. So then I tried Netscape and still no luck.

I have run Adaware and Spybot and Norton 03.

Its weird, we used to have exactly the same problem when
the server was running Win2000pro, then i upgraded it to
winXP pro and the problem went away. Its only been
recently that the problem has returned.

So to recape: The net server(XP Pro) and 1 of the other
PC's have no problem browsing web sites. But my PC and 1
other can't veiw certain web sites.

This sounds like the Qhosts virus. For more information please reference http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp?
