I just came across an interesting problem with Access
2003 and I have yet to find any information as to why
this is occuring.

I developed a database (using only Access 2003 with the
standard VBA). The database is now populated and works
great. However, when I send this same database to a
friend of mine who is also running Access 2003, but uses
Office 2000, the data will not display in the forms.

I suspect that when he upgraded Access 2000, it was not
completely removed from the system prior to installing
Access 2003.

The only other difference is he is running W2K Pro and
I'm running WXP Pro; however, I doubt this has much to do
with anything. I am also running a full blown Office
2003, but since he purchased Access 2003, I doubt this
has much to do with anything.

I'm open to any suggestions you may have.

I don't have a direct answer but some things to check:
- Has your friend applied all the updates to his copy of Access 2003?
Access 2003's initial release had some bugs fixed by a patch issued last
fall. One bug in particular caused problems with continuous forms.
- Does your friend's copy of Access 2003 run OK on other databases besides
yours? As I recall, Access 2003 requires that Win2KPro have the last service
patch installed.

Haven't worked with A2003 much, but did you create the database in native
A2003? or A2000?
Have your friend check on references. Go to any VBA module, Click on
Tools>>References. See if any is missing.
