Issue copying Hyperlinks

I am creating a PowerPoint that’s a pseudo software demo using screen shots.
I have inserted clear action button hyperlink over the menu items. When I
copy and paste theses from one slide to the next they are offset vertically
from the original slide. This miss alignment only becomes apparent when go
into the slide show. It looks fine in edit mode. I am using PowerPoint 2002
with 120 slides. Any suggestions?
 
Would it be possible to add the hyperlinks/action settings to the master? Or
to the menu items themselves (e.g. if they are text boxes, autoshapes or
pictures)?

I'm working on linked presentations at the moment and I find adding the
links to the master and using mulitple masters helps keep things under
control (and makes it easier to update). There's a good course about
multiple masters on the office website.

Is may work, but it may be just as tedious since I'm dealing with a series of
cascading menus.
