Hi,

I'm using MS FrontPage 2003 & I'm now trying to publish a web site to remote
web site location. But there is an error message pop-up stated that couldn't
find web server at port 80. Is it because of ISS is not installed?

There could be a number of reasons. IIS is the web server, and that would
cause it, but other things could cause the error too. Are you publishing
to a web hosting company's server If so you should contact them. If not,
where are you trying to publish to?

Hi,

Actually, I'm trying to publish to my own notebook using the IP.
How to check whether or not IIS is being installed?

Thanks!

You would have had to manually install it. It's not automatic.
Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Microsoft, and install IIS and the FP
server extensions from there.

What OS is your notebook running? If it's Windows XP Pro then go to Control
Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Windows Components to install IIS and the
FrontPage Extensions. If it's running Windows XP Home then you don't have
IIS.

IIS is available with Windows 2000 Pro or XP Pro (Not XP Home). As an
add-on (not installed by default) - it is on the XP installation CD.
