Isass.exe error message

My HP Pavillion laptop boots to the Windows XP screen then goes to the following error message: Isass.exe object name not found. If I do have the sasser virus, how can I remove it? My only option is to click OK from the error message and then the computer tries to reboot and returns the same error message.
