I have ISA 2000 and would like to know a way to use it to
have client computers outside the network ie: salesman at
a hotel access the corp. network. What do I have to do to
get this to happen the easiest way and securely??
Please Help!!

If you plan to implement solution, rather than using the Microsoft 2003 RRAS
service, you should check ISA 2004.

It has a lot of enhancements, and it easyer to implement.

With ISA 2004, you had to use the RRAS component to create VPN tunnels (in
fact ISA 2000 only opened the ports). With ISA 2004, everything is included
in the ISA MMC, and your VPN users are filtered according to firewall rules.

For example, if you sales people need to access only 1 machine... it is a 1
minute process to create the rule : Very secured.

Also you can new use what we call Quarantine, the ability to check if a
remote user is safe (ICF on ? Antivirus software ? updated ? Last security
paches ?...) prior to enter the internal network.

It is great and it works file.

Hope this helps.
