A friend of mine mentioned that he had read somewhere on
the Microsoft site that ISA ports were no longer
supported and that there were changes to the support for
PCI ports. Does this make any sense to anyone? He
originally found our article through a third-party's site
and can't seem to locate this site anymore. I've never
heard of this so I'd appreciate some insight if there is
any truth to this?

If you're referring to card slots, ISA have effectively been obsolete
for years and all new motherboards are fitted with PCI slots.

Support for ISA hasn't been dropped per se; as Windows can still
detect and use ISA cards on older systems, but most card and
motherboard companies ceased manufacture of ISA components several
years ago.
