Is WGA misbehaving?

The Doctor

After downloading the latest update for Win XP, Zonealarm is now reporting
that "Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications is trying to read and modify
physical memory". Can anyone tell me what WGA is doing & whether I should
allow it?
 
MS has just downloaded a WGA Auto update to check XP's legitamacy.
Out of monthly time sequence, but!
That is the 2nd check that I know of this year.
