Its a Europ thing. The EEC council have been looking into unfar
practices. but the curent chip would not come under this.

Can you imagine Toyota, jaguar, Mercedes, etc. installing gadgets that
disabled the car if you did not use their tires, oil, brake pads,
etc.???
While we're waiting, note that chip resetters, replacement chips,
refill kits, etc. etc. are readily available.

Try Your local "Cartridge World" They can refill and reset your Epson
cartridges amongst others.

I have programs for a lot of the epson printers to reset the chips. I
have an 860, and it works every time.
