Originally I wanted the BFG 6800 GT but it still hasn't come into stock at PCW components in the meantime other brands have gone out of stock (inno 3d at Dabs) and it now seems the only ones left are close to the £300 mark.

This is apparently the Leadtek card branded for Evesham, Any downsides with that? Also it sounds quite bulky (takes up 2 slots), but at £280 it's the cheapest card available.

Cmon guys, what do i do? Or does anyone know a site where an alternative is available.

Cheers

Leadtek are generally very good, always have good cooling. I had a leadtek TI4800, when it was new out, you couldnt see the PCB it was all covered in heatsink and had dual cooling fans. Very good card.

You could always ring up PCW and ask when more are in stock

Nope, Leadtek make good cards. :thumb:

I've always been a fan of leadtek, i had a Geforce 3 TI500 by them before, never had a problem with it. They always seem to use different cooling than the other manafacturers, which is bold of them!

I would definatly go for that one if you cant wait any longer for a card. But there was a post on here about 2 days ago about a guy who ordered a gfx card from LOW, which was supposed to be in stock and wasnt, and hes having real problems with them.

There is a big demand for the new generation of cards, everywhere is sold out, so i would wait till the new year (seem to be going back on my earlier words :/).

Thanks for the feedback. I've finally ordered the Evesham (OEM Leadtek).

Cards available on Overclockers were more expensive and I've read reviews about the ASUS suggesting it's not really a 6800GT (because of the 128MB and a couple of other things I can't remember now, sorry) so I decided to stear clear of it.

There look to be some good deals on e bay, but for something so expensive (and liable to be faulty even out of the box) i prefer to buy direect from a dealer.

Thanks again
