I submitted a post over an hour ago, and it still hasn't appeared. Also, I
can't seem to find any posts on any subject dated this year, 2010. I'm just
wondering if the site is still working.

Give up on the forum and switch to using a newsgroup reader like Microsoft
Windows Live Mail
best wishes

It looks like the search feature isn't working probably. None of the 2010
posts appear when I use the search. To whom would I report that problem?

OK, don't laugh. HOW do I do that?

The newsgroup is working. Microsoft's unreliable web interface to the group
isn't (which isn't unusual). Please use a more reliable means of accessing
the group. If you want to use a web interface, Google is one of a number of
options (and it is good for searching the archives), but the better bet is
to access the news server directly through a newsreader.

Saved from a previous post:

If you're able (not behind a firewall at work???), you may want to connect
directly to the MS newsservers.

If you have Outlook Express/Windows Live Mail installed, try clicking on these

Bernard, is it possible please, for somebody on this forum to spell out,
clearly and explicity, in a step by step format, how a person is supposed to,
"switch to a newsgroup reader like Microsoft Windows Live Mail".

It seems to be obvious, looking at the postings of users in this forum, that
people simply do not know how to do this.

OK the IT experts may know how to do it, I readily concede, but there appear
to be many who do not know how to do that.

Thanks in advance, as always, for assistance provided to those who do not
know how to do what you suggest we do.

Thanks for the info, everyone. I'll try the newsgroup thing tomorrow. (I
got two words for you: company, firewall). Wish me luck! :)

OK, thanks everyone.

I have copied and pasted your advice into a WORD doc so will try to go over
it in the next few days.
