Is this possible??

Hi,
Would be VERY grateful to anyone who could tell me how to
do this--if there is a way.

I would like to save a bunch of webpages onto my computer
to view offline, but would rather not go through each
page individually, saving as I go. The pages are
heirarchically linked, as in there is a main page for
Chapter 1, and on that page are links to section 1.1,
1.2, and so on. If there was a way to save a webpage,
INCLUDING ALL OF THE PAGES IT LINKS TO, up to a certain
point, that would be ideal. For instance, if I could
save from the Chapter 1 website, it would automatically
save the linked pages to section 1.1, 1.2, and then also
the figures that go along with the page of section 1.1,
etc.

Is that possible, or am I stuck going through each page
one by one? Thanks in advance!

Hi-
What you want to do is possible.

Open the first webpage you would like to view. Click
Favorites, Add To Favorites.
Check the box that says "Make available offline" and
click Customize. Follow the steps in the wizard to make
the links available offline.

Good luck,
Tammi

Thanks Tammi,
I tried that, unfortunately it didn't quite work. The
links on each page are all Javascript'ed, and I think
that's preventing the page from saving to view offline.
I'm looking around at other software to do it...

Don,
I tried both of those and neither did the trick. Perhaps
I just didn't fool around with the settings enough. Have
you had success with websites containing javascript?

Thanks

I've used WebReaper (freeware) from http://www.webreaper.net/download.html
It works well.
Also, HTTRACK (WinHTTrack) has received good reviews.

Hope this helps,

No, sorry, I've only used webreaper with conventionally linked pages.

Open the first webpage you would like to view.
....

This approach works even better if there is a sitemap
or Table of Contents page to start from.
