I'm hoping to clean up my computer. I have folders and files that are
empty after opennig folders that are before them can I just delete
them? I'm trying to clean up my system that is slow and hanging up.

Deleting files/folders will have little to no bearing on the speed of your
system... (Unless the only slowness you are noticing is browsing the
directories that have MANY files/folders inside them...)

You likely need to perform the maintenance you have not been performing on
your computer.

- AntiSpyware applications like SuperAntiSpyware and MalwareBytes
downloaded/installed/updated and used to perform a full spyware/malware
scan.
- CHKDSK on your hard disk drive.
- Uninstalling any applications you know you do not/will not need on your
computer.
- Updating hardware drivers from each hardware component manufacturer's web
site.
- Checking for updates from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and
installing all the "High Priority", leave the rest alone for now.
- Defragment your hard disk drive.

Provide a little background information as well:
- Processor type/speed
- Amount of memory/RAM
- Hard disk drive size (free space as well.)
- Operating system (version and service pack level as well.)

- What is your normal maintenance routine?
- How often do you backup your "My Documents" and "Favorites" and your
contacts and email and other stuff valuable to you?
- Do you utilize the Windows firewall or some third party firewall?
- What Antivirus package do you utilize?

Now is a great time to point you to one of the easiest ways to find
information on problems you may be having and solutions others have found:

Search using Google!

(How-to: http://www.google.com/intl/en/help/basics.html )

I'm using a licensed copy of AVG that I just brought. I was using the
"15in1" Defender Pro, by Kasprebery. This would always get a Trojan V7
downloader agent even thought I would delete it I back up thing on an
external hard drive. I also have been using Malwarebytes'
Anti-Malware, when I use it, I get a "0"malware as the result.

Here’s a report from Process Explorer: when I tried the online search
I have a message, “No web browser configured.

Which of the processes you listed has the highest
CPU load (other than the System Idle process)?

Take this measurement when you are not using
any other applications. This assumes your PC
is slow all the time no matter what application
you attempt to use.
