Hi all
I am begenning to think these newsgroups are selective on whose post gets
posted.
I have posted at least 6 messages now that never show up on these groups.
There are copys in my sent items folder, but never get posted.
Are there other people with this problem or is it MY machine.
Wouldn't doubt it is my machine,I don't have any rites to do anything else
,so maybe I don't have rites to post messages either.
Thanks

I see posts from you going back to 2/6

HI Richard
I see some of my posts but not all show up .It saves a copy in my sent items
folder,but never get this far.
Must be my machine I guess.
Thanks

I guess that Carl expected them to autiomtically show up as soon as he
posted them instead after a possible delay of several minutes or more and
after exiting from and thenlogging back into the newsgroup.

Carl - What news server are you on? The normal ISP's like Comcast, Earthlink
and so on are poor IMHO. I switched to GigaNews years ago, and they have
been excellent, with HUGE retention. I hope I don't sound like a salesman,
but GN is tops! - IM

How about waiteing a couple days and not showing up.
Are you posting to these groups through your ISP's news server groups, or
have you established an account directly with:

msnews.microsoft.com

Although my ISP's news server carries many of the microsoft.public groups,
I've found that an account set up with msnews.microsoft.com gets me better
reliability and coverage.

using msnews.microsoft.com

I just looked in my sent folder and the first message I looked at was sent
on 2/16/07 , and has not been posted yet.
Don't know what the problem could be.

Carl;
Sometimes it takes a while.
Other times posts get dropped.
Generally posts are not blocked or removed without cause.

Specifically what messages are you not seeing?
I see many of your posts in various threads.

Instead of another 3rd party middleman news server, post directly to the
source:
msnews.microsoft.com

I did not see this post untill I reanswerd it today from the general
groupe.I had 4 or 5 more but I cleaned out my folders and don't have coppies
anymore.

Hi Ahmed
I answerd this post 3 days ago but it didn't show up like a lot of my other
posts don't. I don't know what the problem is.My posts are in my sent items
folder but never show up here.
Anyway I have vista premium and have MSN 9.5 installed and it works
great.But I don't have X64 machine.
Hope this helps.

Hi, Is there a problem with 8.1 with vista, I just re-installed the OS,
re-installed MSN 8.1 from msn website, and it can't connect...says, there
is a problem with your key ports, and cant repair it, i even disabled the
windows firewall + router firewall and still..says Your firewall might be
blocking windows live messenger from connecting to service...

any ideas?

By the way , I am using live mail desktop, but I wouldn't think that would
have anything to do with it.

You might send an e-mail to your ISP to see if they are aware of any posts
from any of their IP addresses being blocked or being filtered out by the MS
news servers.

Thanks JW
I will see if I can get ahold of MSN.
I have Qwest DSL with msn premium. So I have to use Live mail Desktom if I
don't want to use msn explorer, which I don't.
My mail is http mail.
thanks

If Qwest is your ISP I was suggesting that you contact them since they are
the ones who all of your outgoing mail has to go through.
