Hello,

Is this beta a public. Or do I need a betapassword?
Because I want to try it, as soon as possible...

Thanks,

Peter

Read the announcements. They say "make available to Windows customers."

This sounds like a public beta to me, and that's (one thing) I think is
coming.

They also say they haven't decided on the final form of the offering.
That's an interesting dynamic--if we all love the free beta version, what if
it costs $? I suspect that'll be covered too--i.e. there may be
multi-levels of protection for different costs, one of which will be zero.

Yes,

They should make this for free. Even after the Beta
version.
Every option, every thing must be for free in this
program.

Microsoft makes his problems with this stuff, so
microsoft
had to make something to stop it. FOR FREE

Offering different versions with different levels of protection would
be a mistake in my opinion.

I see the difference between the paid version and the free version as
managability - the free version for home users should be ignorant of
domains, networks, and policies. The 'paid for' version should be
completely configurable by a domain admin down to the last byte.

You make it free, Microsoft gets sued. 'Nuff said

Microsoft should follow lavasofts pricing scheme - the
free version will be able to remove all spyware but
the "paid for" version could include active monitoring,
enterpise stuff, etc. Ad-Aware SE Personal compared to
Ad-Aware Professional. My .02.
