Whenever I connect to the Internet, without opening th browser, my computer
starts sending files. Does anybody know how to solve this problem?

What protection do you have? Is it updated?
You really give little or no information.
There are tools for free to check your computer:

Install a freebie 3rd party firewall, like Sygate
(http://smb.sygate.com/) or ZoneAlarm Free (http://www.zonelabs.com/),
and check its logfile(s) to see what process is making outbound
connections.

How do you know your computer is sending instead of receiving? Did you
check the stats page for whatever connectoid you use under the network
connections applet in Control Panel.

We're supposed to guess what operating system you use, its patch level,
and how you connect to the Internet?
