My win 2000 Pro laptop freezes intermittently and thinking it might be
spyware or something like it I have scanned for everything I can think of
with no reports of invaders. I use AdAware SE, Sybot, Spyware Blaster, ZA
free, NAV, Win Patrol and A-squared, quite a bundle, don't you think? I also
tried Hijack this. All possible updates are current.
Also I have checked and trimmed applications running upon startup and
running services and I clean and defrag regularly. So what could be causing
this annoying problem that continually makes me stop what am doing until it
comes back to normal? Could it be spyware that is undetactable with these
applications?
I'm the only user, it is a free standing system except it's connected by PC
card to the sbcglobal.net ADSL router of my desktop.
In the event viewer there are three consistent error and warning events
which might have something to do with it, if it is not spyware. I will
submit those later if needed. I do not understand these even though googled
them and checked MS site. Please help me fix this, thanks, Josie
