Can you use Access to compare 2 sets of data? I have 1
table with customer names & addresses with a reference no.
I have the same information in an Excel spreadsheet that I
want to bring into Access and compare to see which records
are missing from the spreadsheet of information.

I can bring this information into Access but I'm not sure
if I can compare by creating a query.

Can anyone help?

Hello, i have a suggestion, what about linking the Excel Sheet to Access?,
then u can make a query in order to compare..

Yes I can do a query to show those records that are the
same. But I cannot get it to display those records ONLY
that do not match. What query criteria can I put in for
that?

Hi,

Once you have your two tables (original table in access
and the one brought in from excel) I would just create
an "Unmatched Query Wizard" which will ask you to specify
the tables in question, and then the piece of information
that appears in both tables that you want to compare.
You can then specify which fields you want to show in
your query.
