Is there way way to prevent the reading pane from starting in Outlook

  • Start date Start date
if you are doing it for security reasons keep in mind its actually more
secure to read in the preview pane than it is to open the message.

Also we tried the switch /nopreview and after a few days it reverts
back to the reading pane...
Do you have any other ideas?

I think you can disable it via GPO, but I don't know how to do that.

I want to permenatley disable to in Outlook.
Any Ideas?

We have an obscure finding that we would like to explore.
We noticed that this user has 2 profiles on separate machines.
I was told by his admin that when she uses the second pc she enables
the reading pane view.
Question: By the admin assistant changing the default view on the pc
she is using, would this affect the other workstations reading view
also?
If so, this would be the reason why the reading view would be changing
even though we have the /nopreview switch enabled.

Any feedback would be appreciated.
