I want to mark certain text on a web page in InternetExplorer and then copy and
paste it into a normal text editor.
With the copied text not only the pure text should be transferred but also the
HTML code (e.g. <P>,<HL>,<TABLE>,CSS styles,...).

Is there such a tool?

No, I don't want to open the source code of the webpage through the menu view->source
because searching the actual desired source part is sometimes terrible.
I want a WYSIWYG copy-paste.

You've got it. What you see on the page is what you get. If you want
the HTML, go into the source and get it.

Hi,
Internet Explorer 5 Web Developer Accessories
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/previous/webaccess/webdevaccess.mspx

Disclaimers...
Not supported by Microsoft.
Originally written for Win98 / IE5.

Most of the other Web Accessories for IE5 work OK with IE6 / WinXP / Win2K.

Works OK with WinME / IE6. I haven't tried it on the WinXP machine. It's
probably safe with WinXP or Win2K.

Backup your registry and give it a try. ;-)

IIRC in Netscape you can select the part you want to copy and then view
its source, being the source of the selected part.

Just checked: with FireFox rightclicking on a selected part has the option
'View Selected Source'. If activated, a new window opens with the source
of the selected part, again selected.

Well, you should be willing to put some effort in stealing someone others
code. :-P

BTW: Although it is good practice to set a f'up, it is not very nice to
set a f'up and not mention it. Ones repsonding go 'Where is my reply at?'
if they do not participate in the group set as the f'up.
