Hi.

i can connect from office A to office B with Windows 2000 VPN Function..
office A : win2000ser + 10/100Lan card
office B : win2000ser + ADSL MODEM

but i heard VPN Machine is sold widely.

so i want to know why we should use VPN hardware instead of VPN software

is there something beneficial when we use hardware-VPN ?

The primary benefit of a hardware solution is performance - hardware
solutions are often faster than Win2k's VPN server. Also, VPN devices
generally provide other functions such as NAT, Firewall, etc. so you may
benefit from using these features to relieve some of the load on your
servers. If you are satisfied with your current performance level, there is
no compelling reason to switch.
