Is there software that allows you to transport a program to another (not networked) PC?

I've got SystemWorks, but I don't think it can do what I want. I've not got
a second PC, but what I'm wanting to do is tantamount to moving a program
from one PC to another.

I want to get a copy, backup, or archive a program that's on my main drive
onto a secondary drive . Reformat the main drive, clean install a new O.S.
on it, then transfer the program from off the secondary drive back to the
original drive, that now of course has a new O.S. and registry.

Any programs that will do that? Basically it's like taking a program and
making it into a setup file that you can then run on any PC.

Is this something like I'm after I wonder?

Be nice if you could click on a EXE file and it would analyse and create a
setup file for the program.

Hi, Richard; I have used PowerZip for a few years now. When creating a
zip file, you have the options of .zip or making a .exe. However, it
is payware, and I only suggest it because I've used it for so long and
know it works. There may be a free trial, I don't know, but here is a
URL I had for it: http://www.powerzip.biz/, HTH.
