I HAVE AN HP PAVILLION A405n AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF IT HAS A BUILT IN MICROPHONE. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME?? THANK YOU
 
Try the HP web site www.hp.com and search for your model's
spec sheet.

Hello
Turn off the CAPS it is considered rude and shouting, it's hard to read too,
on any newsgroup or chat.

If you have a built in microphone it will be in you monitor with some extra
leads from the back of your monitor to the back of the tower.

Don't know, I can't see your computer from here. Perhaps if _you_
looked at it...... ? Failing that, you might try looking at the
manual that came with it.

Usually, though, only laptop computers have built-in microphones.

HP did put a mic in some of their monitors, there is one in
our old 17 inch monitor that came with a Pavilion 6465
Celeron back in the late 90's. As another said, there is an
extra cable that plugs into the sound card. The mic is in a
small hole in the top center of the monitor bezel (looks
like a good place for a wide-angle webcam).
