Yes. The Omegas are optimized to give better visuals in games. They're
usually a bit slower in benching.

BS. The omega drivers are merely a mix of old/new ATI drivers. Anyone who
had the desire/time could re-mix drivers from various Catalyst versions in
exactly the same way. The Omega drivers are not coded from the ground up.

I didn't say they were. They are optimized for better visuals

The Omega drivers are simply the ATI drivers with the settings tweaked
differently. Omega also enables support for the mobile chips by default,
where it's turned off in the drivers as provided by ATI.

The Omega drivers generally work fine--which works better for you you might
have to determine by experiment.

Well, none of them work on my Acer 3023. I got the latest one (5.7) from
station-drivers.
