What is a good working CD/DVD authoring program that works with VISTA?

You can burn from Vista directly, just stick a blank CD or DVD into the
drive and pick what you want to do from the AutoPlay pop-up.

The built in DVD Maker allows limited authoring, with excellent video and
audio quality. You don't have much control over menu layout and no ability
to put text labels on menu buttons.

I'm currently experimenting with DVD-lab, and I haven't found any Vista
related problems.

Dave, your nuts, I have 3 burners and NONE of them will finish burning a
disc. At 5 seconds left every single drive fails to finish the disc.

I have tried all kinds of hardware settings and combonations, and even with
XP pro the burning capabilities of windows is extremely lousey. It should
have a nice interface not done through the GUI, because I don't think MS will
listen to Nero and Alcohol on how to write good burner software ;)

I have a Philips DVD+-RW DVD8631, and I have had only 1 disk fail to finish
in over 200 - but that one was with MS DVDBurn on XP Pro...

You're right there - but DVDBurn still works - although it's now a pain to
use since the took away drag and drop into the command window.

I bought the latest version of Nero 7 Ultra, but it does not work with 5600,
5728 or 5744 builds, however, looking for working solutions I found NTI DVD
Maker 7 works perfectly with my present build (RC2 build 5744).

I recommend it, you can get it online at http://www.ntius.com

I had a lot of trouble with my 64 bit Vista burning until I found some
open-source software called ISO Recorder. It is on one-trick pony - will only
work with burning an ISO image to the burner, but works like a charm. Price
is right, and I am pretty sure there is no spyware either.
