In Vista, you don't uninstall it, you simply Disable it. Type services.msc
in run>Windows Defender>Right click>Properties>Disable.

Will Cheney and Libby chicken out and duck testifying? You'll know next
week. Count the days until sentencing of the Harvard Law School Grad worth
over $100,000,000 whose trial also symbolizes the lying that fuels the
exponential rate at which the Dover coffins are filled for no good reason
whatsoever.

Are the affluent Republicans trying to fund Federal Defender programs? Hell
no. But they are contributing in droves to the multimillion dollar legal
fees Libby is paying his large team of multiple lawyuhs.

Has a major trial involving a White House Assistant to the President, and
Chief of Staff of the Vice President every been ignored except for a one
sentence summary on the front page in its capsule "What's News" section ever
been ignored in the history of the Wall Street Journal? Hell No.

Since it was a lacky in the lie to enable mass murder in Iraq, the WSJ wants
to pretend their is no trial, and has informed its reporters they will not
cover it taking Fox TV's fictionalized accounts to a new level.

It can't actually be uninstalled, but you can disable it. Start, type
msconfig, hit enter and accept the prompt. Uncheck Windows Defender on the
Services tab. Apply, reboot.

Actually, this won't "fully" disable Windows Defender, as one might think.
To to that, you must open Windows Defender Options and uncheck EVERYTHING,
from top to bottom.

You can disable Defender fully by going to services and disabling it.
That's the point for existence of the ability to regulate how a service runs
or if it does. Many applications have the ability to run with other origins
for their running than msconfig also.

Yeah but Windows Defender will be started by other programs even if its taken
out by msconfig or the other run properties tool. You have to go in and
uncheck all of the options of it too. It's a serious program (problem) which
needs to be disabled in a multitude of ways.
