Is there any way to hide a callout when printing the handouts

I have a callout that pops up over a slide to make a point, but needs to be
hidden when printing so that the main content can be seen. Is it possible?

Are you printing in black and white or in color?

If you're printing in b/w, yes.

Put PPT in B/W view (if you don't know how, ask, but mention which version of
PPT you're using). Right click the callout, choose B/W Setting (or Grayscale
Setting) and pick Don't Show.

PowerPoint won't show the shape when printing in grayscale mode but will show
it in the slideshow. And on color printouts, just so you know.
