Yes, but ....
You can record and Insert sound (really link) MP3 files to PowerPoint rather
easily and use these to replace the narration. The difficulty comes on the
other end.
Embedded wav files almost always play correctly through the user's sound
cards, sometimes MP3's do not. Since PowerPoint uses the MCI settings of
the receiving computer when playing the MP3 files, and multiple other
programs (WinAmp, Real Player, QuickTime etc.) take the liberty of messing
with these settings, the playback is not assured.
