I start a chart by choosing a layout and enter data into a spreadstreet
format, but entering initial data to each cell and go to the chart to tweak
the font, colour etc, I can't then return to the spreadsheet format to enter
more data? thanks

I'm confused.

Which version of PPT are you using?

Are you asking how to get the spreadsheet back in PPT or Excel?

In PPT 2003, you can View | Datasheet to reopen the little datasheet.
In PPT 2007, you're charting in Excel. Right-click the chart and choose Edit
data.

I'm looking for online tutorials in powerpoint that shows how to transfer any
type of information that's entered into a spreadsheet, which is then changed
into a chart and then copied to a powerpoint presentation - still in a
legible format - with trial and error, I think I've done it - I work with
2007 version at home and 2003 at work.

I have another question: the cycle diagram, how do I change the shape to a
block arrow going in a circle - I need to show 3 arrows circling.

Thanks

Which version do you want to do this in? 2003 and 2007 use different
diagramming tools.

In 2003 you can change a shape on the Draw toolbar -- select the shape and
choose Draw | Change Autoshape.
In 2007, it's on the Drawing Tools Format tab, in the Insert Shapes group.
(Change Autoshape)

Thanks - autoshapes worked fine in both versions. (I'm not fully conversant
with 2007 yet, hence to'ing and fro'ing between both).
