Is there an applet that will tell you a chip's serial?

The blurb on the black sticker on an AthlonXP? Or do I have to pull the
heatsink off?

The reason I ask is that the chip I'm running now is an 1800+ which I
managed to pump to 2.1GHz when it was running in an EPOX board. However,
this is a SOYO DRAGON Ultra KT400 and I cannot overclock it AT ALL - the
merest upping of the vcore will send it defaulting to 1500+. As I'm rather
green when it comes to overclocking, am I correct that the chips with the
'JIUHB DLT3C' serial are the holy grail when it comes to Athlon
overclocking, or are there other codes which work equally as well. The Epox
was taken out in a power outage six months ago, or I'd still be running it.
Is it just that SOYO's are the worst boards in the known universe when it
comes to overclocking (ABITs appear to be the mutt's nuts) - or do I have a
shite board?! It must have some overclocking potential, or it wouldn't have
been so ready to do so.

Finally, how hard can a Barton 2800 be pushed, with standard air cooling? I
am putting pennies in the kitty for P4 kit (which my mate Ben assures me can
be pushed to ridiculous speeds, even with air cooling - he's been
overclocking for the past 7 years and is tech support manager at
www.chillblast.com), but I found an OEM 2800 for £80 inc vat and it seemed
like an offer not to be passed up, so I bought it.

So - how high can it fly?

Try WCPUID. Don't have access to an AXP at the mo so don't know how much it
displays but IMO its the best cpu id utility around.
