to have Execl put a zero in a cell if it is blank? I have a bunch of
sales data but some cells had no sales so they are blank. I want to
have them zero.

TIA,
Dan

Hi
try the following:
- select your range (with values and blanks)
- hit F5, click 'Special' and choose 'Blank cells'
- enter a zero and hit CTRL+ENTER

Tools-->Options-->View Tab-->Window options-->check the Zero values box.
You must enter 0 or a formula that results in zero because a blank cell
is treated as text.

F5 just allows me to GOTO. I don't see a way to format blank cells with
a zero. BTW I am using Excel 2003.
