Id like to hide or change the words "slide show" that appears at top.

If anyone can give me an alternative to PPT I surely need one Im writing
"How to Guides" for my customers and Id like to not have the words slide show
on my manual.

What do you mean, "slide show" on the top bar? What view are you in? What
version of PPT?

Im in PPT 2007 In saving as PPS and with browse as individual window. At the
top of the viewer it says power point slide show just before whatever I name
it, its a blue bar. Id like to delete this bar or words. I like using PPT but
I want it to look like an E book/manual. Thanks

Ah. That's because it's in a window. You must change to "presented by a
speaker (full screen)" to get rid of that.

As Echo said. Or use SnagIt or a similar screencapture tool to take
screenshots without that bar. Or use an image editing program to cover it
(in the screenshot).

In addition to Echo's and Ute's suggestion, you can crop the screen
shot in either PPT or Word using the cropping tool. I do this a lot
since it is faster than opening up Photoshop.

If you crop it in Paint, it reduces the size of the image as it permanently
crops it, whereas Word only hides the cropped part of the image.

Ah ha! thanks for that - I'm new to 2007 - but the only problem is I can't
get it to stay cropped permanently even after saving....

Well, after playing... I can permanently crop normal or large .jpgs but very
small .jpgs of say 2kb won't stay cropped - strange, but I suppose most
people will be cropping large images....

I have to add that 2007 is a real pain to start with, but there are lots of
nice extras that they've added in (when you find them).

2007 actually should remove the cropped parts automatically when you save
the file. How did you insert the pictures you're having trouble with?
