Is there a way to bring back the out of office prompt?

I recently returned from vacation and was not reminded by Outlook that my Out
of Office was on. Is there a way to bring back this prompt in Office 2007?
The only solution I am finding is to set a date range for turning it on and
off.

No, you can't get the prompt. You'll need to set an end date.
