I am auditing object access for the purpose of tracking who is launching a
few specific programs. I have already setup the server side and tested on a
client machine.. works fine. Question is this: Do I have to go to each
client machine to configure the object access on each specific file? isn't
there a way via GPO to avoid this?

any input is appreciated. thanks.

Sure! You can do this through GPOs.
You use the "File System" node of Computer settings\Windows
Settings\Security Settings branch.

You can define security and audit settings in here for absolute paths to
files or folders that reside on the target workstations.

sweet! Thank you!
