Specifically, I want to know if Vista is any different architecture
than WinXP? Did M$ change the OS to be based on some better code like
Unix/Linux or is it still written in Visual Basic/C?

It is still Windows, but internally there has been a lot of work done.

It's written in C and C++ like previous versions of Windows, and like Unix
and Linux. There are some parts of Windows Vista that are managed code, but
not a lot overall.

Is not Linux writen in C????

I think you're confusing architecture and OS with programming languages.

Careful, your bias is showing.

I think some of this as well as code would fall under some definitions of
architecture, but I'm not sure if it is included in yours. Hope these help
a bit.
