Is there a step by step setup guide

Is there somewhere where a newbie to VPN can actuall go to
find out how to configure their network. Including IP
Addresses, DHCP, DNS, WINS, Gateways, ect...

I have a WIN NT4 Server, WIN 2000 Server, WIN2000
Workstation, Dynamic IP, Wireless Router, VPN Linksys
Router(I hate it, only 1 pptp Passthrough, but multiple
IPSec cable.

I want to have a Access to files on any machine in the
network from the outside. I need a private LAN and be able
to get on the internet on the workstation which needs to
be wireless. I am failing in school because I'm not as
advanced as the other guys in the class.

If anyone knows a site, or information, it will be very
much appreciated.
