Is there a setting to allow HID keyboard devices?

I am trying to use a wireless presentation helper. It wirelessly scrolls
through the pages of the presentation. It is not working. I am trying to
figure out if the problem is with the devie or if there is a setting in Power
point I have to switch on to allow the device to work?

The computer reconises it as a HID keyboard Device

Thanks!

There's no setting specfic to PPT for wireless controls, but you may have to set
the presentation up in a way that allows you the type of control you want,
whether from a wireless device or from the laptop itself.

Thanks for mentioning that. It might have triggered the "Aha" we need.

If the presentation's in Kiosk mode, PowerPoint will ignore all keystrokes but
the ESC key; it expects you to control the presentation via mouseclick only.

If your device emulates a keyboard rather than a mouse, then PPT will probably
ignore it too.

Try setting the slide show up in full screen/browsed by presenter mode rather
than kiosk. See if that helps.

My suggestion is to talk with the manufacture. They would have the most
experience in its use.
