Stop using Microsoft's webnews-for-dummies interface to Usenet. It's
been having severe problems since the morn of Dec 23 according to other
knowledgeable users. Instead use a real newsreader, like Outlook
Express, Thunderbird, Agent, Xnews, Xananews, or a choice of several
others. Then connect to an NNTP server to get at the groups.
Motzarella.org has a free NNTP server that covers all groups except the
binary ones (i.e., where porn resides). Microsoft has their own NNTP
server at msnews.microsoft.com.

You're calling it a "site," but primarily it's not a web site. It's a
newsgroup, and you are using the awful web interface to participate in
this newsgroup

The web interface to read this newsgroup is the slowest, clunkiest,
most error-prone method there is. Do yourself a favor and switch to a
newsreader, such as Outlook Express, which comes with Windows XP, or
Windows Mail, which comes with Vista. See
