is there a non-bloated non-buggy client for MSN instant messenger?

I've used aim 4.7.2480 + deadaim for years and it's wonderful: so
simple and fast and efficient and stable.

but some of my friends are using msnim now. is there something like
what I described above that is compatible with the msnim network?

Trillian will do MSN, AIM, ICQ, Y!M and IRC.

I use Gaim for AIM, MSN, Yahoo, and ICQ. It has worked excellently for me.

aMSN has a Win32 version and supports file transfers.
