Is there a merged view of calendars thats not side-by-side?

I have been set up on Exchange and given permission to view the calendar for
the head of my office, which I am the administrative assistant for. I have
used the side-by-side view, but I need to see multiple days in one glance.
Unfortunately the side-by-side view compresses the information too much. The
head of my area does not need to view my calendar; I need to see her's in
order to schedule appointments for the rest of the department staff and
committees that need to meet with her. Is there a viewing option that has
only one calendar that lists both our information without creating a public
or shared folder?

Outlook 2003 and currently Exchange 5.5 (will be migrating to newer version
this summer)
 
With Outlook 2003, you can use Actions->View Group Schedules which is an
inelegant method for doing this but it is effective.

If I may ask, what is your screen resolution for viewing calendars? Also,
if you use the Scheduling tab of the appointment item, does this not give
you the information about free/busy that you need?

Have only just now been set up on/started using these features. There are no
groups to pick from when I select the Actions->View Group Schedules. Thank
you for the "heads-up" on the Scheduling tab of the appointment item, that
will be helpful. Also, think I have found part of the problem in that others
are listing their appointments in Tasks rather than their calendars.
