Is there a max # of files for burning a DVD?

New to DVD burning and I have hundreds of video files I want to put on DVD.
The DVD allows 4.7 GB and I try to "Add files" that add up to that, but it
stops adding after 99 files. If there is a default setting of a max of 99,
is there a way to bypass this?

Divide them up into a smaller number of folders, then burn the folders
containing the files.
