Is there a log of what Ghost does ??

Somebody told me that Ghost makes something(log file or ??) on my hard drive
after making Ghost image even though I used floppy bootable Ghost disk.
So if I restore other hard drive from Ghost image, the other hard drive also
has some log (?).

Is it true ??
If it is true, how can I know which hard drive is restored from Ghost image?
