Is there a limit as to how many twisted pair hubs can be daisy chained?

Not really but if you are chaining more than just a few (2 or 3) then
consider an alternative networking solution. Note that each time you chain
you are increasing the traffic on the route hub. It won't be long before
network performance will be awful at best

Actually, I think there is. My recollection is you're not supposed
to go more than 5 levels deep, but I could be off on that.

Regardless, switches are so cheap now that hubs are passe for most uses.

True! The 5 port hub I was using stopped working, so I looked around at the local
computer fair for a replacement. I couldn't find a hub so I bought a switch for less
than what i paid for the hub.
