Mister Charlie

I occasionally download mp3's that have an odd 'fwippy' kind of sound to
them...bad compression perhaps?

I thought I'd seen mention here in times past about programs that might
be able to 'fix' a bad mp3. Am I remembering wrong?

TIA...

Hi:

I remember such a Program.. Ii is called MP3UnCook 95.

Suposedly there ar MP3s with some clicks,a dn blurps in them because the way
some MP3s are sent over the net. (ascii, or binary mode), and some mode of
upload adds some page braks or something to the MP3 if uploaded wrong, so
this program attempts to fix them.

WARNING: make sure you make a backup copy to run with MP3UnCook. Failure to
do so can DESTROY your MP3 (and a Backup will be the only way out) :)

Get MP3UnCook here:
http://www.free-music.com/uncook95.htm

OR:

http://www.clintonmemorialchurch.org/ChurchFolder/Uncook95e.exe <<-EXE

http://www.ibbu.nl/~rlange/download/uncook95.zip <<-PKZip File

hope this helps...
